Rico is a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at University of California, Davis. He studies governance, political economy, and political violence in Southeast Asia. Before graduate school, he worked as a good governance and human rights advocate. Rico also holds a master’s degree in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Ateneo de Manila University.
